Fictional test data. Street names and house numbers are assembled at random from generic words; cities, regions and postcode formats are real so validation behaves realistically. Any match with a real address or person is coincidental.

How a Philippine address is written

Philippine addresses go from the most specific detail to the broadest: unit or house number, street, subdivision or village, barangay, city or municipality, province and ZIP code. A typical line looks like 123 Sampaguita Street, Brgy. Kamuning, Quezon City 1103. In planned subdivisions, houses are numbered by block and lot rather than along the street: Blk 12 Lot 7, Narra Street, Villa Verde Subdivision.

Common abbreviations are Brgy. (barangay), St., Ave., Subd. (subdivision), Blk and Lot, and Pob. for Poblacion, the town centre. Couriers often rely on landmarks (“near the chapel”, “beside the sari-sari store”), so many delivery forms add a free-text landmark field.

ZIP codes

The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) uses four-digit ZIP codes. Outside Metro Manila there is usually one code per city or municipality: 6000 for Cebu City, 8000 for Davao City, 2600 for Baguio. Metro Manila is split more finely, with a code per district or group of barangays — Quezon City alone uses codes from 1100 to 1138, and Makati from 1200 upwards. The codes are rarely printed on mail and many people do not know theirs, so make the field optional or fill it from the city where you can.

Regions, provinces and barangays

The country is divided into regions, provinces, cities and municipalities, and about 42,000 barangays. There are 18 regions since the Negros Island Region was re-established in 2024; the National Capital Region (Metro Manila) has no provinces. Delivery and e-commerce forms in the Philippines usually cascade Region → Province → City/Municipality → Barangay, each choice narrowing the next list. The generator shows the region on its own line; if your form uses provinces, add that step to your fixtures.

The Philippine Statistics Authority publishes the Philippine Standard Geographic Code (PSGC), a numeric code for every region, province, city and barangay. Store that code rather than the name if you keep address hierarchies in a database: names change and repeat.

Testing tips

Using the data in fixtures

Seed your staging database with a mix of Metro Manila and provincial addresses: Metro Manila gives you multi-code cities and long barangay names, while provincial cities give you single-code towns. Export as CSV or JSON, then run the same set through your checkout, invoice PDF and shipping-label code to catch truncation and encoding problems early.

What is not generated

The tool does not create TIN, PhilSys or other identification numbers. Street names are built from generic Filipino words, so any match with a real address is coincidental.

Validation pattern used for the ZIP code: ^\d{4}$. It checks the format only — whether a code is actually in use is known only to the postal operator.

Phone numbers in Philippines test data

Philippine mobile numbers have 11 digits starting 09 (+63 9XX XXX XXXX internationally) and landlines in Metro Manila start 02. We know of no officially reserved fictional range for the Philippines, so the generator leaves the phone field blank rather than inventing numbers that could reach a real subscriber.

Postcode ranges, region lists and address conventions checked against these sources in October 2026. Street names in the generator are synthetic.

Frequently asked questions

What is a barangay?

The smallest local government unit in the Philippines, similar to a village or district. It is written after the street with the abbreviation Brgy. and is an important part of a delivery address.

How many digits does a Philippine ZIP code have?

Four. Most towns have one code, while Metro Manila cities have several — for example 1100–1138 in Quezon City.

What does Blk and Lot mean in an address?

Block and lot numbers identify a house inside a subdivision, where houses are numbered by the developer’s plan instead of along the street.

Is this a real address in Philippines?

No. The city, region and postcode format are real, but the street and house number are random. Use the addresses for testing forms, databases and shipping-rate logic, never to send mail or goods.
