What a country generator does
Each country page is the regular card generator, preset with a real BIN from one of that country's largest banks. A table under the tool lists BINs from other local banks — and from local networks such as RuPay in India, Elo in Brazil, Troy in Turkey or Mir in Russia — so you can switch with one click. Every number keeps the BIN, gets random digits and a Luhn check digit, and comes with an expiry date and CVV.
The pages also summarize the country's BIN data — which networks are common, the debit/credit split and the largest issuers — and list the payment-testing details that differ by country, such as the currency and whether it has a minor unit.

Testing by country
- Fraud and risk rules often compare the card's issuing country (from the BIN) with the shopper's IP address and billing country.
- Local networks use prefixes that a form built only for Visa and Mastercard may reject or label wrongly.
- Currencies differ in minor units: JPY, KRW, VND and CLP have none, so amounts are whole numbers in most gateway APIs.
- Authentication rules differ: in the EEA and the UK, most online card payments need Strong Customer Authentication (3-D Secure).
A BIN identifies the card network and the issuing institution only. It reveals nothing about an individual card, cardholder or account, and it cannot show whether a card exists or can be charged. Test numbers generated from a BIN are for development and QA only and are declined by every real payment system.
Frequently asked questions
Why generate card numbers for a specific country?
Payment systems treat cards differently by issuing country: fraud rules compare the card country with the shopper's IP and address, gateways route domestic cards differently, and some checkouts only offer installments or local networks to local cards. A test number that starts with a real local BIN lets you exercise those rules.
Are country-specific test numbers real cards?
No. Only the first six digits come from a real bank range; the rest are random digits plus a Luhn check digit. No bank has issued the number, there is no account behind it, and any real payment with it is declined.
Where do the BINs come from?
From the open bin-list-data dataset (CC BY 4.0). Each country page lists the BINs it uses, with the issuing bank and card type.
